Need a copy of your Kentucky GED transcript?

The GED transcript is official documentation of passing the GED. Transcripts can be requested online. There are two payment options for requesting a Kentucky GED transcript. (Unfortunately, under the Family Educational Rights to Privacy Act of 1974, KYAE cannot provide GED scores or pass/fail information by phone.)

1. Online payment - Submit request online. Pay for the processing fee with a Visa or MasterCard debit or credit card.
2. Mailed payment - Submit request online. Pay for the processing fee with a money order made out to the Kentucky State Treasurer. Please include the request transaction number on the money order. No personal checks will be accepted. Attach the money order to a printed copy of the submitted request and mail to:

   Please allow 10 business days for a mailed payment request to be filled. Phone calls asking about the status of a request will not be accepted until adequate processing time has passed. If all the information submitted is complete and correct, KYAE makes every attempt to fill the requests as soon as possible.

Information Needed to Conduct a Record Search

Please note: Requests with incomplete information will be returned and another processing fee assessed when resubmitted.

• The full name under which you or student tested
• Social Security Number
• Date of birth
• The approximate year of testing
• The name of the testing center, city or county.
• Individual's signature - mailed or electronic
• Address for mailing the transcript (include a complete mailing address)

Individual Transcript Request

Individuals who have taken the GED Test(s) in Kentucky may submit a replacement diploma and/or transcript request online to expedite processing if paying by Visa or MasterCard debit or credit card. Please complete and submit the online form and payment information.

To mail your payment, please complete and submit the online form, print the request and mail it to Kentucky Adult Education along with a money order made out to the Kentucky State Treasurer. Also include the request transaction number on the money order. This can be found in the upper lefthand corner of the printed request.

Agency Transcript Request

Online submission of an agency request for verification, transcript or diploma, is required. A signed Release of Records form must be submitted, mailed, or faxed, along with your online request. KYAE will not honor your request without this completed form.
